Театральная премия Лоуренса Оливье

Театральная премия Лоуренса Оливье вручается с 1976 года. До 1984 года премия называлась Театральная премия общества Уэст-Энда (премия вручается лучшим театрам Лондона). Сейчас премия Оливье - самая престижная театральная премия Лондона.

В этом году наибольшее кол-во призов собрала драма “Черный дозор” (Black Watch) о войне в Ираке. “Черный дозор” - это название шотландского полка. Сценарий написал шотландский драматург Грегори Берк (Gregory Burke), который собрал данные о событиях по рассказам тех, кто участвовал в военных действиях.

Пьеса получила главные призы в номинациях “лучшее звуковое сопровождение”, “лучшая новая пьеса”, “лучшая хореография” и “лучшая режиссура”.
